Sunbird´s summer collection for 2011 will be hitting stores this week. We can´t hardly wait to see happy creative kids running, jumping and playing around in the cool and comfy colorful clothes. We believe that the Sunbird summer clothes will bring out the sun and leaves on the trees in Iceland!

Sunbird took part in the annual DesignMarch in its hometown Reykjavík, Iceland. We exhibited the summer collection for 2011 on mannequins we made ourselves and had our videos on display as well. We had photos (3 x 2 meters) hanging in two store windows on Laugavegur the main shopping street and our instillation was a part of an exhibition called Warehouse.

At the moment we are working on the catalogue for the SS2011 collection and an online shop. We are so lucky and excited that Anna Palma (www.annapalma.com) an inspiring and amazing kids and teen photographer working from New York will be joining us later this month for a photo shoot and some video footages in down town Reykjavík. We look forward to introducing our newest collection to the world because we think it´s awesome!

PopUp store this weekend

We got an exciting weekend ahead. This Saturday and Sunday PopUp store opens its doors with 30 talented designers selling their sought after limited products. Sunbird is proud to be a part of the gang and will offer the all new girls and boys collection for sale for the very first time. The store is located on Grandagardur 2, 101 Reykjavik and is open both days from 11:00 to 20:00.
